Dolores Halward

July 16, 1959 ~ June 7, 2018 (age 58)

Former resident of Watsonville, Dolores Ann Halward, 58, passed away on June 7, 2018. It was an extraordinary, love-filled life cut unexpectedly short. Dolores was born in Degollado, Jalisco, Mexico in July 1959. She was raised by her parents, Gonzalo and Elodia Ruiz, and brought up in a beautiful home along with her 9 younger siblings. Her desire for adventure and new experiences led her to meet and soon after marry her soulmate, Richard L. Halward. She was blessed with two wonderful children, Ricky and Leslie, whom she loved passionately, and she would continue to love and raise her family for 34 beautiful years.

Dolores was a joyous inspiration to all who met her, and greeted every day with a smile and a sense of fun. She was a woman of class and elegance, accepting and open to all that received her vivacious spirit. She was an amazing pillar of spirituality and a dedicated servant to God, the Virgin Mary, and all His angels and saints. She lived with joy and gratitude, and reveled in having her family around her for any occasion. Dolores was a woman filled with unconditional love for her family, and believed that every day was a blessing. She is remembered for her boundless energy, her immense generosity, and her devotion to her family. Her husband, Richard, calls Dolores the love of his life- his everything- and her children remember her as a mother best defined as nothing less than perfect.
