Francisco Valencia Rosales

October 6, 1941 ~ September 12, 2018 (age 76)

Francisco Rosales Valencia passed away surrounded by his family on September 12, 2018. He was 76.

He was born to Lorenzo Valencia and Natalia Rosales in Durango, Mexico. Before retiring he worked as a foreman at Dautoff Flower Grower Inc. for over 25 years. Francisco's hobbies consisted of repairing small engine machines such as lawn mowers and locyksmithing. In his time of leisure, he enjoyed spending time at the beach with his family, watching sports such as boxing and soccer, and tending to his garden at home.  He was an avid reader of all subject matters and had a particular interest in astronomy. Yet, what Francisco truly loved and found most important in his life was his family. He took joy in having Sunday barbecues and taking them to the San Francisco Zoo. Francisco simply cherished spending time with his family.

Francisco Rosales Valencia is survived by his wife, Rosa Romero de Valencia of 47 years: one son, Francisco Jr.; three daughters, Ana, Irene and Claudia; seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Arrangements have been entrusted to Mehl’s Colonial Chapel.
