Isabel Garza passed away on August 23, 2019. He was 85. Isabel was born on November 19, 1933, in Monterey, Mexico to Herino and Maria Garza. A native of Watsonville, he lived in the city for 67 years. Isabel started driving trucks and working in the fields in the 1970s. He transitioned to working with a good friend at his bar. Isabel was a good businessman and was able to save up and purchase his first bar in Watsonville called “El Tenampa”. Isabel was married to his wife Mary Garza for 56 years.
He loved to care for his cacti gardens and was a hard worker. Isabel was a fan of the Giants baseball team. He was a man who loved his family. Isabel is preceded in death by his wife Mary Garza, his son Adrian Garza, and his sisters; Maria Torrez and Teresa Salinas. He is survived by his brother; Sergio Garza, his sister; Blanca Garza, his sons; Philip and Jaime Garza, 4 grandsons, and 1 granddaughter.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, September 1st, 2019 from 5-9pm at Mehl’s Colonial Chapel. A recitation of the Rosary will be held at 7 pm. There will be no burial.
