Karina Acosta passed away on Friday, September 20th, 2019. She was 40 years old. She was born in Mexico City on November 26, 1978, to Manuel Acosta and Rosa Vega. She was the oldest of her siblings, Victor and Gabriela Acosta.
She was the loving mother of Karla and Alejandra Bello, her children from her first marriage in Mexico. In 2001, she moved to the U.S., where she worked as a waitress for 12 years at the "El Frijolito" restaurant. She met her husband Josue Duran and had her third child, Diego Duran.
Even though she had been fighting Scleroderma for the last 6 years of her life, Karina was a loving and caring person and always had a smile on her face. She lived every moment of her life surrounded by people who loved her. She was the life of the party who appreciated and loved life to the fullest. She didn’t die, she just took the ride before us onto the next life. Karina will be truly missed by everyone.
Visitation and Rosary were held at Mehl’s Colonial Chapel on September 26th followed by Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady Help of Christians Church on September 27th.
