Robert JM Crumpton

Robert JM Crumpton passed away peacefully on February 8, 2019 at his home, surrounded by family. He was 86. Robert was born to Robert and Beatrice Crumpton on September 24, 1932 in Lubbock, Texas. In 1939, Robert moved to Watsonville where he met his wife Barbara Rapoza. They married in 1952 and were married for 59 years. Robert was drafted to the Korean War in 1954 and worked for Southern Pacific Railroad and later on, as a Facilities Supervisor at the Post Naval Graduate School for over 30 years.  Robert was a former bishop of the LDS Church and also a Boy Scouts Leader for over 50 years. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, and taxidermy.

Robert is proceeded in death by his wife Barbara. He is survived by his children Mark (Penni) Crumpton, Russ (Retha) Crumpton, Kris (Kathleen), Teri (Jose) De La Torre, Toni (Gerald) Ketterling, 19 grandchildren, 21 great- grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services will be held February 15, 2019 at 11 am at the Church of Jesus Christ of LDS. Burial to follow at Pajaro Valley Memorial Park. A reception will be held after burial, at the church. Donations can be made to S.C. Hospice Foundation.
