Obituary

Angie Mae Keith peacefully, passed at her home November 5, 2022. She was born on May 14th, 1938 in Watsonville, to Angelo and Gemma Luporini, immigrants from Lucca, Italy. Italian being her first language, she then learned English and Spanish. She had fond memories of fishing off the cement ship with her father, and cooking with her mother. Angie graduated from Watsonville Highschool in 1957 and then Hartnell College in 1959. She married in 1962, became a mother in 1963, and her second child was born in 1966. She enjoyed raising her children, being a homemaker, cooking, baking, and decorating for all the holidays.

Angie’s career was in education, she worked for the PVUSD for over 20 years, specializing in bilingual education at H.A Hyde School. She enjoyed the children and would often be recognized years later by students she had taught. Angie loved spending time with her grandchildren, watching the Oakland A’s, the S.F. Giants, cooking, and shopping with her friends. In honor of her Italian heritage, Angie became a member of the Sons of Italy in 2012.

Angie was preceded in death by her parents and brother Charlie. Angie was loved dearly and is missed by her son Brian (Sharon) Keith, daughter Lisa (Doug) LaRue, grandchildren Samantha Allen, Michael Allen, and Kaitlyn LaRue, and five great-grandchildren.
