Our beloved son, EDERIAN JOSÉ CERMEÑO (lovingly also knowns as Edge, Papas, Pop’s, and Bubba), went to be with our Lord at the age of 19 years old on April 7, 2021.
Ederian was born on January 22, 2002. He graduated from North Monterey County High School in 2020. He loved riding his dirt bike since the age of 3 and had a passion for BMX. He was a devoted football player since the age of 5 and played for the Cardinals, Bulldogs, and the North County Condors. He always enjoyed spending time with his little brother Jesse, his family, his girlfriend, and many close friends. Ederian enjoyed working with his grandpa welding and loved helping his dad, grandpa and stepdad work on old cars. He had a love for good food, especially Grandma Maria’s cooking and Chinese food.
Ederian is survived by his parents, DeMaree Taney Varela, and José S. Cermeño, 4 siblings, stepparents, maternal and paternal grandparents, and maternal uncle and paternal aunts. Ederian brought joy, love, and happiness to everyone he touched. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege to know him.
A visitation will be held at Mehls Colonial Chapel on Mon. April 19, 2021 from 9:30-12:30, with a rosary at 10:30. A mass will follow at St. Patrick’s Church at 1 pm.
