We are deeply sorry for your loss - the staff at Mehl's Colonial Chapel
Jesus Enrique Grijalva, longtime resident of Watsonville, born in Sonora, Mexico on June 5, 1957, died unexpectedly on July 26, 2022, surrounded by his family. He was 65.
Jesus was a hardworking man, working as a carpenter for 40 years. He enjoyed going to casinos and taking family trips. He also enjoyed music and dancing at family gatherings. He loved spending time with his family, especially his beloved grandchildren. During his free time, he loved riding his horses and spending time with his friends, laughing, joking, and living life to the fullest.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Marylou Grijalva, and his children, Enrique, Israel, Erica, Eric, and Erin Grijalva. He also leaves behind his siblings, Juan, Norberto, Adrian, Rosa Maria, Maria Luisa, and Lucila Grijalva, as well as 19 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother and sister.
Viewing will be held at Mehl’s Colonial Chapel 222 E. Lake Avenue on Sunday, August 7 from 5-9pm with rosary starting at 7pm. Funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Patrick’s Church 721 Main Street on Monday, August 8 at 10am, with burial following at Valley Public Cemetery 2445 E. Lake Avenue, all in Watsonville.
