Jorge E. Betancourt

February 17, 1988 ~ May 30, 2021 (age 33)

Jorge E. Betancourt gone but never forgotten. You were the light of our lives. A son, brother, uncle, nephew, and friend. He is survived by his mother, Patricia Paz, and his father, Amador Betancourt, brothers; Michael Paz, Frank, Richard, and sister Anilu Betancourt. The family is reverberating the pain and sorrow from home to the beautiful Sierras of Durango, Mexico.

Jorge was an Aptos High Alumnus, he graduated in 2006 and that summer he started his career in the auto parts industry. Putting his artistic skills, heart, and love into his artwork, in his spare time, he created masterpieces while listening to his favorite playlist of music.

Jorge was the most kindhearted person you would ever meet. The times he spent with family and friends were the happiest days of his life. Jorge was always there. Whether it was giving out a helping hand, he would immediately drop everything he was doing to support the ones in need.

Listening to his favorite inspiring sayings of life:

“Grudges are a waste of happiness. Laugh when you can, apologize when you should, and let go of what you can’t change.”

“You can’t start the next chapter in your life if you keep re-reading your last one.”

Jorge will truly be missed.
