Obituary

Judy Husband-Stroh passed away peacefully on January 11th in Santa Cruz, California at the age of 76. A Native American, Judy was born on July 30th, 1944 to Earl and Irene (Marques) Stroh of Watsonville. She was a lifelong Santa Cruz County resident.

Judy was a light to all who got to know her. She had a kind generous heart, an infectious laugh, and a wonderful outlook on life. She was a fiercely independent person who could often be spotted scooting around Santa Cruz on her many adventures. Judy enjoyed attending the Friday night concerts at the Boardwalk and spending time at local parks just observing what was going on around her. Judy loved nature and spending time with her family and all her friends and neighbors. Her passions included gardening, sewing, crocheting, cooking, and baking. She really enjoyed sharing her knowledge with anyone who was interested in learning. 

Judy was predeceased by her parents and her younger sister Joann Stroh. She is survived by her daughter Rose and husband Glenn Bryan of Soquel. her grandson Cole, and her step-grandsons Kyle and Cody. Her brother Jerry Stroh and wife Pat of Sparks, NV. Niece Roseann and husband Harold Farris. Nephews John Gong, Michael (and Lety) Gong of Watsonville. Her grandson Cole held a special place in Judy’s heart. They enjoyed spending many hours playing board games and watching movies together. She will also be missed by countless other friends and family who were blessed to have known her.

She was laid to rest in a private ceremony at Valley Public Cemetery.
