Marina Renteria passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family in Watsonville on May 1, 2021 She was 91 years old. Mrs. Renteria was born in San Juan Citala, Jalisco, Mexico to Evaristo Gonzalez and Maria Guadalupe Monreal on July 18, 1929.
She was a loving and caring, happy person who liked going to family and friends' parties. Mrs. Renteria liked to have artesian objects/figurines for home décor. She also enjoyed sewing and tending to her flower and plant garden. But more importantly, she was the best “Grandmother” ever who is loved and will be truly missed.
Marina Renteria is survived by her husband, Fortunato Renteria of 75 years of marriage; three sons, Genaro, Adan, and Mario Renteria; six daughters, Caritina Bustos, Eva Ramirez, Celina De La Cruz, Silvia Flores, Rosio Cruz, and Maria Felix Perez; 38 Grandchildren; 72 Great-grandchildren and 11 Great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at Assumption Church on May 19, 2021, Wednesday from 5 to 9 pm with the rosary recited at 7 pm. Mass will be celebrated on May 21, 2021, Friday at 10 am with burial to follow at Valley Public Cemetery.
