Michelle Nicole Clark was born on October 10, 1983 to Jeff and Karen Clark. Michelle was the third child to Jeff and Karen, completing their small family. Though she was born with Down Syndrome and multiple congenital heart defects, Michelle was not treated any different than her sisters Jolene, and Julianne. The three girls grew up together in their family home, on family property in Aromas, California. The sisters spent their days playing all over their property, going to the beach, watching Disney movies (repeatedly), and screaming with excitement on roller coasters.
Michelle was mainstreamed into Aromas Elementary School. She was a member of a Girl Scout Troop as well as a soccer team. Michelle was very much her own, independent person, but like any young sister, wanted to follow her older sisters everywhere and experience everything they did.
Her life was not always easy, her path was at times hard- not only for her but her family as well. She persevered with her Mother, Karen constantly fighting for Michelle’s rights as a person and human being. Karen found a wonderful adult living home and day program for disabled persons when Michelle to wanted to go to college, like Jolene and Julianne. She resided happily at her home with her friends until December of 2020. At this point Michelle was diagnosed with terminal cervical cancer. Her sisters lovingly took her to their home in Chico, California to love out the rest of her days with dignity and comfort. On January 2, 2021 Michelle Nicole Clark was taken home to be with her Mom, Karen Clark who preceded Michelle in death almost 12 years prior. Michelle left this Earth while her sisters, Jolene and Julianne held her hands and shared their love.
Though Michelle leaves behind her two sisters Jolene Burgess (Kurt), Julianne Clark (Josh), her Father Jeff Clark, 2 nieces (Karli and Klaire) and many other family members, she also leaves much more. She left her family better than it was when she arrived 37 years ago. She leaves memories of laughter, growth, humor, but mostly unconditional love. In all the time we all thought we were caring for Michelle; she was truly caring for all of us.
