Nancy Valverde Dorado, a longtime Watsonville resident, born on February 2, 1951, in Salinas to parents Agustin Valverde and Josephine Lazos, died on March 22, 2022. She was 71 years old.
Ms. Valverde was a happy person who was liked by all who met her. She was also a hard-working woman and was a greeter for Walmart for over 20 years. She enjoyed gardening, doing Arts & Crafts, and was an avid 49ers and SF Giants fan. But what she really loved was listening to oldies music, especially Brenton Woods.
Ms. Valverde is survived by her son, Steve Daniel Valverde, 2 grandchildren, Steven Daniel Valverde III, and Shadia Alicia Valverde, and 2 great-grandchildren, whom she loved dearly, and her siblings, Sheila Ramirez, Aurora Blanco, Sally Dorado, and Jesse Cardel.
Mehl’s Colonial Chapel has been entrusted with the funeral arrangements.
