March 13, 1934 ~ May 19, 2021 (age 87)

Obituary

Patricia “Patty” Jean Goldman (also known as Meme) passed peacefully on May 19, 2021, with family by her side. Born in Superior, Nebraska on March 13, 1934, to parents Harold and Maxine McGaffey.

Patty and her family moved to California in 1936 where she graduated from Watsonville High School in 1952. She began working for Pacific Bell then later onto Valley National Bank, which became Household Bank as an Operations Officer until her retirement, 19 years later.

Patty met the love of her life, Bill Goldman, and they were married on October 3, 1954, until his death in December 2006.  They had 3 beautiful children, Penny, Kara, and Matt, that she adored.  Family was extremely important to her and always loved spending time with loved ones and treasured every moment that she could spend with them.  She was kind and caring, always giving as much as she could to whoever was in need without hesitation.  She was “small but mighty”, loyal, honest, truthful, and fierce with strength that was undeniable.  Patty loved animals and gardening and she was an avid sports fan.  It didn’t matter what sport, she was always watching and cheering the team or individual to their victory.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Goldman, her sister, Mary Leiter, and parents, Harold and Maxine McGaffey.  She is survived by her children; daughter Penny Pressnell (grandson Brandon and granddaughter Roslyn), daughter Kara Corley and her husband Marty (grandsons Dillon and Ryan and his fiancé Deirdre), son Matt and his wife Lisa (granddaughters Allyson and Haley), brother Doug McGaffey and his wife Linda, sister Joan Morrow and many nieces and nephews.
