Rebecca Lydia Miles

July 24, 1953 ~ April 12, 2021 (age 67)

Rebecca L. Miles, 67, was born on July 24, 1953, to Jesus and Mary Tison in Watsonville, California, and passed away on April 12, 2021, after a brief illness.

Becky attended Pajaro Elementary School and graduated from Watsonville High School in 1971. She went on to pursue a career that spanned 30 years as a Quality Control Supervisor working for The J.M. Smucker Company in Watsonville, California.

After Becky’s career at Smucker’s came to an end, her role as a loving caretaker to her mother and grandchildren began. She was the most loving, supportive, and compassionate daughter, sister, mother, and grandmother. There was no task too great or too small when it came to taking care of her family. She was so devoted to her daughter Michelle and her four grandchildren. They were her everything. Family came first and was above all else to Becky, a value she instilled in all those around her. The void left by her absence will be impossible to fill.

Becky treasured her sisters Jessica and Annette throughout her life and always held them close to her heart. She enjoyed watching her SF 49ers and attending festivals listening to good music of all genres. She grew up surrounded by extended family including her many loved cousins, aunties, and uncles. Her love of family was eminent from a young age. Becky loved to visit with family near and far, reminisce through family photo albums, dance, garden, cook her favorite Filipino cuisine dishes, and spend time with her beloved grandchildren. Her legacy of family, kindness and unwavering support will be remembered by all who loved her and will truly be missed.

Becky is predeceased by her parents, Jesus and Mary Tison, and Robert Miles. She is survived by her daughter Michelle Navarro (Rigo), grandchildren Chase, Devin, Sydnee, and Savannah Navarro; sisters, Jessica Costa and Annette Nartates (Jimmie), and nephew Brandon Nartates (Ashly), in addition to many cousins, aunts, and uncles.

Private services will be held, Mehl’s Colonial Chapel is entrusted with the arrangements.
